Iran’s short film ‘Dog’ to compete in Bangladesh

The Int’l Inter University Short Film Festival in Bangladesh is to present Iran’s ‘Dog’.

Iranian title ‘Dog’ has been selected to compete at the 2020 edition of the International Inter University Short Film Festival (IISUFF) in Bangladesh.

The 15-minute title was made by Hessam Salehbeig in 2019.

“They say that wolves are the ancestors of dogs. Wolves went through changes and now they (dogs) are the best friends of human. Two female characters of the short film have to deal with a human,” a short synopsis for the film reads.

The IISUFF is presented by Dhaka University Film Society in association with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

The 12th edition of the event aims to promote the work of young filmmakers who are university students.

The festival chose ‘Take Your Camera, Frame Your Dream’ as its slogan.

The 2020 edition of the IISUFF will be held on July 28-30.
